Our Story

Photo Bang Bang opened in April 2010 as a private photography studio space for three independent photographers. Over the years, some of the original members have gone on to work in other studios and our business model has shifted as well. We decided to rent our studio to the public after the first member left, in order to help offset the higher rent split. We offered introductory pricing of $25 per hour for the first several years of developing the rental business.

First Friday in the Arts District was one of the bonuses of opening in our location on Imperial ave. We looked at several other spaces, including industrial warehouse space. We really lucked out getting a commercial retail space with HVAC, 10′ ceilings and affordable rent. We participated in 50+ First Friday events between 2010 and 2017. Sometimes, we would be open with a photo booth or art exhibit. The final two years we participated in First Friday, our event was called First Friday Noise, curated by Aaron Dunham. Videos from these shows can be seen on our YouTube channel.

Since 2017, we have focused our art direction and studio space on our Premier Level Member, who receives unlimited monthly rentals, dedicated storage space, a dedicated workspace and other benefits. Unbooked days are still available for public rentals.

We have been hosting photography lighting workshops as well and we try to do a new one each month.

What Is Photo Bang Bang?

We know that creating a video or a photoshoot is a team effort. At Photo Bang Bang, we want to help connect Models, MUA’s, Photographers, Stylists and other professionals that we have worked with to clients seeking a broad number of photographic services.

Our goal is to provide visiting and local photographers with unique locations and sets to work with for their project. In addition to the spaces we have available in our studio, we also want to help you find other great studios to work in.

Photo Bang Bang is located inside Imperial HQ, on the corner of 3rd St and Imperial Ave, at the gateway to the arts district in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada.

We have free parking, and we are very close to the Strip and Fremont street, usually only a $5 Lyft Ride.
